The unofficial motto of Costa Rica, "pura vida", translates to "simple life". Located in the laid-back surfer town of Playa Grande, there's no better place to dive into the surf culture, either as a complete newbie or a seasoned pro.

A dedicated two-floor coworking space with fast, reliable internet connection – allowing our guests to work remotely with comfort and peace of mind. The ground-floor coworking lounge features comfortable cafe-style seating in a quiet area of the hotel so you can work in a relaxed but productive environment. On the second floor, our coworking office provides a more formal work vibe with dedicated hot desks and two private meeting rooms designed for Zoom meetings or small group in-person huddles.

ONDA’s Beer Garden is so much more than just a place to eat. It’s the place to meet fellow travelers, socialize with friends, and plan your future adventures. We use only the best ingredients which are sourced locally (when possible) and offer a mixture of traditional Costa Rican dishes, along with some American fusion.

Onda - Playa Grande
If you’re looking for the authentic Costa Rican beach life, but don’t want to be surrounded by tourists, then Playa Grande is the place to come.A hidden gem in Costa Rica, Playa Grande is the locals’ favorite beach and popular with surfers who flock here to ride the huge waves, which crash onto white sands backed by thick jungle
You’ll also have the chance to see leatherback turtles nesting in the Las Baulas National Marine Park.

The King rooms have their own large work desk + office chair. The micro rooms do not have private desks in the room.
What is the internet speed and where does the coverage reach on the property?
200mps, and this is communal areas and personal rooms.
What are the onsite amenities?
Surfboards, pool, surf & tours team, bar & restaurant, coworking space, communal kitchen

There is a laundry onsite

Yes, quick cleaning daily and full linen changes after every 3rd night

How far is the local area from the property?
The main beach entrance is a 3 minute walk; other restaurants and cafes can also be reached within a 3-5 minute walk. We are in the center of it all!

Yes, there are several cafes and restaurants in walking distances, as well as a micro brewery
What are the transportation links? Are bikes, golf carts, buses, trains, taxis available?
Bikes, motorcycles, E-bikes and ATVs can be rented through our partners and nearby establishments; ONDA's 15 passenger van; Taxis
What is the closest airport and how far is the journey?
Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR) - it is a 70min drive to ONDA
What is the cancellation policy?
Any cancellation of reservations or portions of reservations MUST be received in writing.
● 60 days or more prior to arrival = 100% refund of deposit, less 20% cancellation fee (of total trip price) + US$100 processing fee.
● 0 - 60 days prior to arrival = No refund
● No show = No refund
● All shared accommodation is non transferable
Due to the above it is HIGHLY recommended that all clients purchase “trip cancellation insurance” in order to cover a possible cancellation of 60 days or less of your itinerary.
