Overview
Overflowing with ancient beauty and unique architecture, Hoi An’s Old Town gained its UNESCO World Heritage status in 1999 for its extremely well-preserved traditional wooden architecture, making it the only town in Vietnam to have survived intact in this way. Hoi An can be characterized by its iconic yellow walls, vibrant lantern festivals and Japanese Covered Bridge which symbolizes a fusion of Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese cultures. Alongside admiring the beautiful architecture of the ancient town you can explore Hoi An’s famous Night Market, spin along the coconut forest on a basket boat tour or try a delicious Bánh Mì (a Vietnamese baguette sandwich).
