Valencia is an often overlooked area of Spain but with 12 miles of sandy beaches and more than 300 days of sun each year, Valencia is the perfect spot to relax and unwind by the sea with a crisp glass of vino or agua de Valencia (cava, orange juice, gin and vodka). As the birthplace of paella, Valencia is a foodie heaven with so many local eateries to explore throughout the city, especially in the beautiful streets of the Old Town.

The Fallas
Watch Valencia be transformed into a continuous street party for The Fallas celebrations which date back to the Middle Ages where carpenters would burn left over wood after winter. Valencia comes to life with parades of 20 feet tall papier-mâché figures.
Paella
Paella is more than a meal, it’s a social event! The first paella is believed to have been cooked by Valencian farmers who cooked lunch with what they had available. Authentic Valencian paella doesn’t contain seafood but chicken, rabbit and even snails.
Old Town
Founded in 130 BC, Valencia has been the home to Romans, Visigoths and more over the last 2000 years and these influences can be seen all around the Old Town. Wander the streets, grab some tapas and visit the Central Market to explore this beautiful area.
